The results are in. I didn't win, but, hey, that's alright. Being a finalist is just as nice, I think. Congrats to all those who brought home an award from Dragon Con. A lot of great shows were present at the awards.

You can watch the awards ceremony here below. I'll admit. It was pretty cool seeing my name up on that screen.

New feed with archived stories

I've created a new feed for the Dismay podcast. This feed will help solve the problem of listeners not being able to find previous episodes of my podcast in the iTunes directory. At the moment, the first five episodes of Dismay are available in the feed and I will be adding more in the furture. Eventually, I hope, this new feed will be the only feed. But, for now, listeners should remain subscribed to the current feed.

It may be interesting for those of you who have not listened to the old episodes to hear how much things have changed (and, hopefully, the quality of recording).

The new feed is: http://dismay.libsyn.com/rss

Enjoy.

Parsec Award Finalist

I am happy to announced that the Dismay podcast is now a Parsec finalist for Best Audio Drama (Long Form including Independents). Here are all of the finalists in that category:

  • Second Shift: An original fantasy Podplay
  • The Failed Cities Monologues ---running lenghths
  • Prometheus Radio Theatre
  • Dismay

I'm not familiar with two of the podcasts, but I do know that The Failed Cities Monologues has put out some great stuff.

This is the second year being a finalist in the same category. That's twice being recognized for something I enjoy doing, and that is wonderful. Good luck to everyone who has been nominated as a Parsec finalist.

Nominated for Parsec

Dismay has been nominated for a Parsec Award for the following:

Best Audio Drama (Long Form including Independents)
Best Audio Production

I have submitted a 10-minute sample of three past episodes for the panel of judges to review and determine if it will be a finalist. I was a finalist last year, an honour for which I am still glowing about, and it'll be wonderful to be a finalist again -- there are a lot of good podcasts in the running. Again, thanks to everyone who has supported Dismay.

A new episode will be up soon. I apologize to everyone for the delay, but work assignments have taken over my life! Oh the dismay. In the meantime, if you are interested, I have created two Twitter stories to go with this podcast. You can follow what Dismay is doing; or you can follow what The Man With No Face is doing. It's kind of fun.

Dismay reflects on his killing Emily and how his powers twisted her into a murderous creature. He realizes it is now time to move on and he chooses to no longer ignore the voices that haunt him.
